PC Games for 2009!
The rising level of quality found in PC games looks set to continue into 2009, with a number of highly anticipated games lined up for release over the coming months. We've provided a quick list of the three games we're most eagerly awaiting this year;
#3: Dragon Age: Origins
Excitement levels are reaching fever pitch for this game. In development for years now, developers Bioware are lovingly creating a title set to take the RPG world by storm. We've already seen
some concept demos and presentations, but fans are eager to see whether
the game as a whole will live up to the hype. BioWare's experienced
writers have worked hard to craft a world history of over 5000 years,
leading to a vastly immersive world filled with locations, characters
and creatures. Fans of the RPG genre cannot afford to miss this title.
#2: Sims 3
Arguably the most well known and popular PC franchise in history, The Sims returns with the third installmant, after countless add ons and expansions for Sims 2. Sims 3 will make a few very noticeable yet slight departures, but EA has successfully convinced many people that these changes are for the best. These changes mainly revolve around expanding the creation and customization aspects, allowing players to create 'any Sim they could imagine'. Gameplay has also been ironed out leading to a quicker and smoother game And seeing as it comes out this June, you shouldn't have very long to wait for it.
#1: StarCraft II: Wings Of Liberty
Though not actually confirmed for 2009, fans are holding out hope for this title to show up within the year. Starcraft was a highly successful strategy game that set the benchmark for many to come, including Dawn of War. The StarCraft 2 project actually consists of
three games, each of which will focus on one of the game's different
races. The first one to be released will be called Wings Of Liberty,
and will focus on the Terrans. Legacy Of The Void and Heart Of The
Swarm will focus on the Protoss and the Zerg, in that order. The future looks bright with all this Starcraft goodness coming our way!
